Project beginning January 2012, completed January 2013. Current version 30m (See Changelog)

Featuring FileView for Rainmeter, Desktop+ is an original concept Start Screen & Drop Launcher designed for Windows XP, Vista, 7 and 8. Catalog your applications into scrollable groups. Organize and beautify your desktop, while keeping it simple, productive and professional. Customize and create your own themes from a wide range of options. Play with the many features, and feel free to cut apart, recreate and piece together your own skins using this new reformed version of Desktop+.

Added new feature: "Macintosh-look". Gives the user a Mac-styled top menu bar. The old look is still available.

Once you use this skin, you'll start to wonder how you ever got around Windows without it. *Requires the Rainmeter version r1871 or higher to install. Download from Rainmeter.net.

Recommended tip: Due to an under-developed DesktopWorkArea feature in Rainmeter, I recommend using the program DesktopCoral with Desktop+'s "Tucked Away" mode with these settings.

• No manual entry of data or arduous setup routine
• Display apps on the desktop in an ordered and logical format
• Access games, pinned apps, bookmarks, control panel and documents with ease

• Designed for Windows XP + Windows Vista + Windows 7 and Windows 8.
• Supported by resolutions from 1024x768 to 1920x1080

• Feature-rich setup menu to fully customize your desktop+ colour and appearance
• Takes advantage of many new Rainmeter features and plugins from Rainmeter 2.5

• New features being added every month.

Large thank you to Elestel & Brian F. for the FileList and FileView plugin respectively, as well as Jsmorley and Kaelri, respectively, for the RainRGB and RainFile addons used in this skin. A respectable thank you to the makers of Omnimo for some much needed inspiration, and the great community @ Rainmeter.net for helpful assistance. And a loving thank you to my fiancé for being my personal beta tester.

Other thanks goes to DigitalSpectrum, and eclectic-tech.

Gmail button sticks at "Searching..."

I've got Gmail set up so it asks for a verification code when I login somewhere new, is it possible that is messing it up?

Check to make sure your Gmail account and password are correct, then, if they are, exit and reopen Rainmeter. The webphaser plugin used to fetch the mail information can be somewhat troublesome with frequent refreshes.

I'm not even sure if the skin is saving my password properly. I'll try what you've suggested.

If you have two-step verification, you need to create an application specific password for Rainmeter to use, since it doesn't know how to handle two-step verification (the little code you get on your phone when you try to log in, that you then have to enter).

So...I really love this...a lot! But I have one question, and one feature request.

All of the bottom borders of my windows disappear whenever I full screen the window. I assume this is something to do with the desktop corral, but I can't for the life of me figure out how to make the bottom borders come back. Or make the window go down all the way. I don't really like seeing my desktop wallpaper through the bottom peekhole.

Would it be possible to have a music controller? I really enjoy listeneing to my iTunes, but i don't enjoy having to switch over to it whenever I want to skip a song. Perhaps a way to exchange the radio stations for the music controls?

Thanks again for this wonderful thing that you have created!

For your border problem, I had the same thing BUT... It only happens when the taskbar is set to "Use small icons". If you right click on an empty spot on the taskbar and make sure to uncheck use small icons, or use autohide the taskbar with smaller icons, it will fill that space back up! Quickfix unless you want to not autohide/use normal icons. Hope this helps!

Hmm...this does indeed make it go away. Unfortunately, I don't like the large icons. (damn me and my pickyness...)

Not sure if maybe I installed wrong, or just doesn't do this, but is it possible to have the desktop background thing AND the that toolbar thing at the top at the same time? Whenever I run the Background.ini it takes away the toolbar thingy :(

Also, the toolbar is pushed down and there is a little cut off spot at the top the screen. A post earlier said this, and you told them to go to edit settings and then delete a couple things. I can't find these things in the notepad file. :(

Dammit. Sorry, just figured out the toolbar problem, but the TOP comment problem still exists, thanks!
