Desktop+: Drop Launcher for Windows by Virginityrocks Desktop+: Drop Launcher for Windows by Virginityrocks
Current version 31x (See Changelog)

Featuring FileView for Rainmeter, Desktop+ is a Drop Launcher designed for Windows XP, Vista, 7 and 8. Catalog your applications into scrollable groups. Organize and beautify your desktop, while keeping it simple, productive and professional. Customize and create your own themes from a wide range of options. Play with the many features, and feel free to cut apart, recreate and piece together your own skins using this new reformed version of Desktop+.

Once you use this skin, you'll start to wonder how you ever got around Windows without it. *Requires the Rainmeter 3.0 version r2081 or higher to install. Download from

Recommended tip: Due to an under-developed DesktopWorkArea feature in Rainmeter, I recommend using the program DesktopCoral with these settings.

• No manual entry of data or arduous setup routine
• Display apps on the desktop in an ordered and logical format
• Access games, pinned apps, bookmarks, control panel and documents with ease

• Designed for Windows XP + Windows Vista + Windows 7 and Windows 8.
• Support for resolutions from 1024x768 to 1920x1080+

• Feature-rich setup menu to fully customize your desktop+ colour and appearance
• Takes advantage of many new Rainmeter features and plugins from Rainmeter 2.5 and 3.0

Large thank you to Elestel & Brian F. for the FileList and FileView plugin respectively, as well as Jsmorley and Kaelri, respectively, for the RainRGB and RainFile addons used in this skin. A respectable thank you to the makers of Omnimo for some much needed inspiration, and the great community @ for helpful assistance. And a loving thank you to my fiancé for being my personal beta tester.

Other thanks goes to DigitalSpectrum, and eclectic-tech.

Well done job on the launcher. Is there anyway i can incorporate how the dropdown menus behave similar to that of the settings icon? My toolbar dropdown menus timeout too fast for me to even click on a shortcut. I want them to behave how the settings menu behaves (if i where to click on it, it stays open until i click the desktop or some other thing)
Yes. You can use OnUnfocusAction= in the [Rainmeter] section of the dropdown menu to "!DeactivateConfig #CURRENTCONFIG#" or "!Hide #CURRENTCONFIG#", so that the dropdown menu disappears when you click on something other than the dropdown menu. Clicking each shortcut should also trigger a !DeactivateConfig or !Hide bang so that the dropdown menu disappears when a shortcut is launched.
Version 32 will be delayed... My fiance and I split up and I've been busy with oh so many beautiful suitors. My apologies. However, it will be amazing! Lots of new features. ETA: May.
each version always better :)
if you could have links to my computer and control panel icons in the toolbar would be the best even by right-clicking
thanks again for your wonderful work! XD
Interesting idea. I will try to incorporate something similar to what you want.
Tried out this great theme but decided to not go through with it. Kind of new to Rainmeter so I don't really know how to remove this theme. I've tried unloading the skin but nothing seems to completely remove it and now it acts as if I have the top bar still enabled even though its not there and cannot maximize windows. Any help would be great thanks.
Unload all of the skins, then either restart Rainmeter, or Press Win+P.
nice, very nice
beautiful, it was a bit 'of time that I tried it, maybe the version "m", getting better, thanks 1000
Hi, I really liked this skin, but the main thing I hated about it was that it made all maximized windows on my desktop a smaller size. I keep my taskbar hidden, and my windows would basically stretch out to where my taskbar usually was, but after I installed desktop+, it forced all of my windows to act as if the taskbar was up all the time. I thought uninstalling the skin would revert things back to normal, but so far it hasn't. Please help. I don't know how to get my windows to go back to their original maximized size again.
